34-36 Weeks

Crazy to think that in just a few days I will be considered term! Somehow the last few weeks have flown by. This pregnancy up until this point has felt very slow but now I am almost wishing it would slow down a little. I am in full nesting mode and realizing the days are too short and any day this little one could make his appearance. I really don't know what happened to the last few weeks. Maybe it is because I have been working a lot lately. I have picked up some extra shifts and have had a couple classes for work that has put me working a bit more than normal. Work continues to be quite difficult but I have some great coworkers who try to make my nights a little easier if they can. I feel so blessed to work where I do. I am off for a couple nights then back for a couple but then I get 7 days off and I am looking so forward to it. Hoping to really cross some things off my nesting list:) And looking forward to sleeping in my bed at night! I never knew what a luxury that was until night shift met pregnancy and motherhood. Anyways, back to baby! He seems to still be doing great...and not ready to greet us anytime soon. I know that could change at any second, but according to my last appointment the doctor feels like he is still floating high and not engaged yet. I guess this is common if you have already had a baby so I am not worried. It just seems odd to me that at this point I had been 2 cm for weeks with Delaney feeling intense pressure and frequent contractions whereas this time, I am only 1 cm, he is not low (according to the Dr), and I don't have near the amount of contractions or pressure. I guess it just proves every baby is different. I felt another growth spurt this last couple weeks and sure enough I again am measuring a little ahead but only by about a week. I have an ultrasound scheduled around 38 weeks to check his size. I have gained about 19 lbs at this point which is 2 more lbs than I gained with Delaney so I hope it doesn't increase too much more in the next few weeks. I have started to prepare some things for the hospital but still feel no where near ready! I keep trying to remind myself that babies don't need much but I like things to be in place. Can't think of much else going on at this point, just thankful for a healthy uneventful pregnancy and praying it continues along with his birth.

34-35 Weeks...35 Weeks is a big milestone for me because it means I get to deliver at my hospital and not be shipped to deliver elsewhere....of course, I hope he stays in much longer though.
