Life with 2 babies!

Things have gotten a whole lot busier in our home. Most days all I feel like all I get accomplished is feeding the kids, changing diapers and giving baths. I am loving being home with them though and am getting used to minimal quiet/free time. I am feeling pretty well recovered at this point and we started walking a couple weeks ago. Delaney seems to be adjusting well to life with a brother/baby. She absolutely loves him. First thing in the morning when she wakes up, her first words are "baby?" She walks around looking for him. She loves to check on him while he is sleeping in the other room. She says, "baby check." When he cries she says "oh, no babee" over and over again while she pats him on the stomach. When I tell her baby is hungry, she says "baby milk." She has yet to miss a diaper change while she is awake. She loves to get the diapers and hand them to me. She insists on helping to clean him up including his belly button with every diaper change:) When I tell her baby is sleeping, she says "baby nap." She gives him kisses and loves all day long. So far she really can't get enough of him. But I can't leave out the not so fun moments that have been occurring lately. Our biggest challenge has been Delaney trying to pick the baby up. She has had him lifted about 2 feet off the ground by the tummy before I have been able to get to him. It has happened twice and it was so scary. Both times I have been in the same room watching the two of them but doing something else like dishes or laundry. Both times I dropped everything and ran to stop her. I even couldn't help but scream because I was so scared of her dropping him.  I have told her uncountable times that she is not allowed to pick him up and my screaming and crying reaction scared her both times to the point that she was in tears as well, but she continues to test her limits. I have noticed she has started to look around the room now to see if I am watching her to see what she can get away with. I know we face many challenges ahead as they both get older, but so far things have been going pretty well with the two of them. I am soaking in this time as the beginnings of a beautiful relationship between siblings develops. I love these two little ones beyond measure.
