3 Months

I am just now realizing how far behind I am on blogging. We have been having a fun end to the summer and I have been back to work for over a month now, so finding the time has become a little more difficult. Because this is my way of documenting my kids childhood, I will continue to make it a priority even though I may be behind at times and may not have as much to say due to lack of time. I will say I love my babies so much and absolutely love being their momma. There is no better role. With that being said, Cannon is 3 months old already! Where has the time gone?! I feel like we had him just yesterday and now he is a few days shy of turning 4 months old! It goes so much faster with baby number 2.

Because he is kind of fussy these days, I feel like I actually get quite a bit of one-on-one time with him. I spend a lot of the day holding him. He's usually content for a little bit in the morning but after noon he gets bored easily. I am pretty sure it's just boredom because if you pick him up he's fine or if you start talking to him he starts smiling in the middle of being fussy. Delaney was very similar and didn't spend much time not being held.  Luckily he seems to like being packed in the front pack again just like his sister.

Cannon rolled over (all the way) for the first time about a week ago. I will try to download the video sometime. He again was like his sister and did back to tummy first. He hasn't figured out the reverse yet. They remind me so much of each other. Delaney did the same cycle of being laid on her back, rolling to her tummy, and then getting mad because she hated being on her tummy. Cannon does the same thing. He is happy on his back but now that he has this new skill he almost instantly flips over and then gets mad. It's quite the vicious cycle. I am still getting used to putting him on his back and then looking over to find him on his tummy up on his elbows just checking things out.

He is still a pretty serious baby and is selective with his smiles. He has a great big adorable gummy smile but only does it when he wants too. He's already figured out mom is a camera freak and really doesn't like to flash his grin for the big black thing or my phone. I am sure some people find this hard to believe since I post pictures of him smiling often, but what you don't realize is the work that went into that one smile! I took him and Delaney out this last weekend to take some pictures and I only got one of him smiling out of like 100! I hope he starts to like my camera, he's got many more years of it being in his face:)

Cannon still doesn't care for baths. I know weird, huh? He goes back and forth between tolerating them and crying during them. But I don't think he has ever enjoyed them.

He still seems to be a sensitive little one and gets scared easily. I don't remember this about Delaney. He often pops out his big pouty lip followed by very sad crying and tears. Sometimes it's a loud noise (aka Delaney) and sometimes it's just a sneeze but it definitely startles him and makes him sad:(

He loves to gnaw on my hand and finger. And slobbers a ton. Maybe teeth? Not sure yet but he really likes to chomp and sometimes it's the only thing that makes him happy.

He continues to be a good night time sleeper. He sometimes sleeps all the way through the night (9-7 or 8) but usually wakes up once around 5:30 or 6 then sleeps for another hour or so. Because he is such a good sleeper at night, I can't complain that he is a horrible napper! He will usually nap good with me if I have to lay down for work, but other than that he just doesn't sleep well on his own. We are thinking it's about time to get him his own crib, meaning Delaney will be getting a big girl bed soon.

According to Gary he is getting better with a bottle but still a slow eater. At least he will take it now though!

He is so tolerable of his sister. She loves him to pieces so I am glad he deals with her so well. She is constantly in his face or her hair is when she kissess him, but he never seems to mind.
