Pumpkin Patch!
I am feeling motivated to catch up on the blog. My kids may not agree but at least I can do a little while they sleep tonight. A few weekends ago we went to a local pumpkin patch. We have gone to the same one every year since Delaney was born. This year it was closed, so we had to go to a different one. Unfortunately, the day was kind of a blur and we were in a hurry so I don't feel like we got the full experience but I think Delaney enjoyed it. They were only open two weekends in October and the only weekend that would work for us, I had to work. So I worked the night before and had to work that night as well. Never a good idea! But I didn't want to break our annual tradition. Anyways, they had so many things to do there was no way to fit them all in an hour. We did get to feed some "nanimals"-one of Delaney's new favorite things to do. We also played in some hay, including a hay maze! We watched some hog races too. At the end of the races they were trying to wrangle the hogs up. Delaney was enjoying watching them but was a little concerned because they were sooooo loud. They were contained in hay bails but one ran straight towards Delaney. It scared her terribly. She started crying and came straight for me. It was really sad and everyone watching felt bad for her but were also laughing because it was a little funny. That was the end of watching the pigs.
