Dang, I am bummed to see that I am almost 3 months behind! Holden turns 10 months on Friday, so I am trying to get the last couple months updated so we can start fresh with a 10 month update. I'll see how I do remembering...
The biggest news....Holden started crawling! Right around 7.5 months he took right off! He basically just all of the sudden started and did it well. Up until then he rolled a lot, but now he can get EXACTLY where he wants to be. For the first couple weeks he stayed in the same room, but now he explores the whole house. He found the dog food quickly:{ Now that he is a pro at crawling, he is pulling himself up to standing. I kinda hate this stage because he falls often. He currently has a bruise on his head from falling on the tile:( Poor guy. I will say that crawling has helped him be a little bit happier, and that has been so nice.
Right around 8 months, Holden had a break-through with sleep. Well, at least on nights that I am working and Gary is in charge. Unfortunately, he continued to wake his mama up at least once or twice a night to eat. At 9 months, he started only waking up once for me on most nights. It was so great. But all this week, he has slept through the night for me! And it's been amazing, hence why I am able to blog at night again! I hope he keeps it up:) He has been sleeping through the night for Gary pretty consistently since 8.5-9 months. He's always been a decent napper and continues to do pretty well in that department. He goes down easily at night and for naps. His naps are very sporadic and not on a schedule at all. Sometimes he takes 3 short naps throughout the day, and other days he only takes one really long nap.
Right around 9 months he started getting 4 teeth at the same time. He hasn't seemed to be too bothered by them though. Although, he has been my biggest bitter with nursing and I think it may be because of this. Ouch!
His hair is light brown and growing fast. He has little curls around his ears and at the base of his neck that I just eat up. They are so dang cute. His eyes are the same greenish brown that they have been for awhile. We hear most often about his big cheeks and big eyes from people.
He LOVES to eat. He says something like, "nom nom nom nom nom" the whole time he is eating. It's so funny. If it's something really good he is even more vocal about it. He loves bananas, blueberries, string cheese, toast, and graham crackers as a treat. He still loves his milk though too.
He giggles when Delaney and Cannon play with him and loves watching what they are up to. Getting the older two to watch out for little fingers has been difficult, but they sure love him and are so sad when he gets hurt.
