7 Months

These months seem to be going by so fast.  That's surprising to me considering Holden's challenging behavior;)  A few months ago, he seemed to turn the corner and for the most part he is much better than he was in those days of colic....but, he is still fairly challenging.  He doesn't like to be sat down....Like ever.  He cries so much, unless he is held.  He's on okay sleeper and napper so at least he's giving us a small break on those things.  Even though he keeps us on our toes all day-every day, we love him so.  When he is happy, he is really happy.  And he smiles often.  If you give him constant attention, he is happy so he smiles at me quite a bit.  He giggles too, and it's the sweetest thing.  I love baby laughs.

Holden is enjoying solids quite a bit.  He doesn't really have anything that he wont eat or seems to dislike.  He practically demands more than just milk twice a day.  He still really likes nursing too, but he's getting a little distracted these days and I don't think he's getting quite as much by that route.

He is getting closer and closer to crawling.  He is an expert roller and can now get almost anywhere by that method.  He "accidentally" crawls backwards too and then gets himself stuck.

He can't sit up by himself yet, but he can sit for a few minutes if you help him.  He eventually tips over but he's getting it.

He still really loves Delaney.  She is always talking to him and trying to get him to smile.  He almost always does, even when he's in a bad mood sometimes.  I think he would respond the same way to Cannon, but Cannon doesn't give him that much attention.

He has had a rough month with teeth.  His top left front tooth finally broke through and it seemed to be pretty painful for him.  He does not accept teething well, but I can't blame him.  I am sure it doesn't feel great.

He wakes up at least twice a night for me to eat and then go back to sleep.

He really hates it when he is left in a room alone.  If anyone walks away from him and leaves him, he loses it.

He was so serious during these pictures because he wasn't feeling well due to teeth.  When he gets teeth he gets low grade fevers so it hits his whole body.  Poor guy.
