24 Weeks

Goodbye bump....hello BELLY!

A close up, courtesy of Gary.

Well, I think you can officially say I no longer have a baby bump. It has definitely turned into a full on belly in the last couple weeks. I think I have finally made Crystal proud, right Crystal? I am amazed at how fast you grow during pregnancy, but even more amazed that I have another 16 weeks of growing to do. In the last week, people at work that didn't know I was pregnant are starting to look at me funny and some daring ones have even asked if I was expecting. Scrubs hid a pregnant belly well, until now!

Everything has been going as expected still. I have had my routine OB appointment cancelled twice over the last two weeks, so I am overdue to see a doctor but since I don't have much new to tell them I am okay with that. The only appointment they really offered me to reschedule is Friday morning. I work Thursday night, so I am not looking forward to that experience again but oh well. After this appointment, I will start going every 2 weeks instead of every 4.

I am looking forward to hopefully having a little more time in November. I will be back on my old schedule which allows for longer chunks of time off, but that also means longer stretches of time at work. I am trying to stay positive that November will be a better month as far as more production and less sickness. Tonight was also our last night at child birthing class so instead of driving to Pullman once a week and sitting through a 2-3 hour class, I will gain some time there as well. Gary is very happy about that! He was a good sport and went to every class since we were mostly taking the classes for him. I think the exposure was really good for him, so that he will be able to stay standing through the labor/delivery process. I learned somethings as well, but considering I've watched women give birth almost 3 nights a week for over 2 years I definitely feel like it benefited Gary more.

I think we are almost ready to start ordering somethings for her room. We are hoping to maybe order furniture and decide on bedding in the next couple weeks. I can't wait to get started on it. I already love hanging out in her room even though it is still filled with Gary's hunting and man stuff. As soon as the shop is finished in the next month, it will all be kicked to the curb and out where it belongs!
