One Great Year

A year ago, Sunday, we had such a great wedding day....

We celebrated with great friends....

Were surronded by loving family....

Shared our wedding cake....

And shared our 1st dance as husband and wife....

It was a great day.

Happy Aniversery to my amazing husband. I can't believe it has already been a year, but even more unbeliveable is that it was almost 8 years ago that you caught my eye in a black cowboy hat;) I can still remember that night like it was yesterday. Something back then told me I was going to want to remember everything about that night, and since then I still remember most of the details. I remember not being able to take my eyes off of you because you were so handsome; I remember dancing with you to Clint Black's, "Like the Rain"; I remember talking to you by the pool tables and feeling like we were the only two people in the room; I remember not wanting the night to end...so much that I decided I could drive a stick shift, when really you would have been better off driving yourself home even though you were half drunk; I remember being so embarressed at the end of the night that I thought you would never want to see me again; I also remember you suprisingly asking for my phone number and giving me the sweetest hug in the world making me feel not so stupid; I remember being on cloud 9 and not being able to wait to wake up my girlfriends down the hall to tell them about you; I remember waiting for your phone call and how excited I was that you were man enough to call me the next day and not make me wait any longer; I could go on and on but I don't think I will ever forget that night and how lucky I was to have met you. Thank you for everything you do, for telling me I am beautiful everyday, for loving our furry ones as much as I do, and for already loving our baby more than I could imagine. You will be the best dad ever just like you are husband.

We kind of dropped the ball this year and didn't plan anything big, but it ended up being perfect. We went to the golf course in Pullman, where we were married, went to eat at Fireside and then watched the movie "Life as We Know It". We finished the night by having a couple bites of our year old wedding cake, we both weren't too excited about it because we didn't really like it when it was fresh a year ago so knew it wouldn't be that great a year later! It wasn't as bad as we thought, it was still moist and tasted like it did a year ago.
Overlooking where we exchanged our vows....

Our frozen wedding cake....

Gary was a little apprehensive about the first bite... never thought I would see this man be so hesitant to try a bite of cake!

Proof that we ate part of our year old cake...
