26 weeks....a week late!

Tomorrow I am 27 weeks, so this is almost a week late but the pictures really were at 26 weeks. Everything is going well. I truly think I grow by the minute, or at least day! Delaney's movements have changed over the last month from small flicks and nudges to full on kicks and turns. I can't believe how powerful they are, it makes me laugh when I watch them. She continues to be most active at night especially at 3 and 4 am when I am working. Somehow Gary has missed the times of really crazy movement so he still hasn't gotten a good feel for her skills, but he has definitely felt some strong ones. My OB appointment went well, everything was right on track. I saw Julie a Nurse Practitioner, who gave me yet another "cure" for the nausea. I haven't even mentioned it to them in months because I have just tried to suck it up and deal with it but she insisted I try one more thing. She said that if women are still nauseated this late in the pregnancy it is usually related to stomach acid and not hormones. So she told me to try taking Zantac, which is for heartburn, twice a day. So far it has actually been working, or at least has lessened it, so I am pretty excited. I feel like me again. In fact, one of my co-worker said the other morning that I had the twinkle back in my eye! Next week I have my 28 week appointment which means I have my diabetes test and will need my Rhogam shot.

This weekend flew by and I can't believe it is almost over. Saturday I worked half of the day giving flu shots, then we headed to Spokane to look at a new car for me. We ended up buying it (will post pictures later) and then went to Olive Garden for dinner. We didn't get home till almost 1 am so we were very tired and slept in this morning. Then we cleaned the house and ran errands all day, we are about ready to finish the night with homemade pizza and probably cuddling with the dogs to watch a movie. It is a gloomy rainy day here so that sounds like the right thing to do! Tonight I am feeling very blessed for a cozy house, a roof over my head, nurishing food, and soooo many more things I tend to take for granted.
