2 Month Check-up

Delaney had her 2 month doctors appointment last Monday.  Her check-up went well.  I asked the doctor about my only concern, two LITTLE "knobs" at the base of her neck.  They are so small Gary can't even feel them!  Anyways, he called them "mommy bumps" because they were put there to make moms worry.  Turns out they are just swollen lymph nodes that lots of babies have.  It was pretty funny because he hardly even assessed them, he must get asked about them lots.  Delaney had to have 3 shots.  It was so sad because she was smiling and cooing like crazy before she got blind sighted with 3 pokes.  We had went to lunch with a friend before her appointment and then we had to wait forever to be seen so she was super hungry too.  Even though she was hungry, she was so good and patient I felt like it was the worst punishment for being such a good girl :(  They made me hold her arms down while she screamed with the reddest face and biggest tears I have ever seen.  After they were done I held her so close and tried not to cry with her.  She really wasn't too bothered by it all when it was over.  I took her to the car and fed her before our drive home.  When we got home she slept most of the night, must have worn her out!  Her two month stats:  length: 23 3/4 inches, 90th percentile; weight 11 lbs 10 oz, 67th percentile- not sure where they got this number from becuase it's not what I get when I chart it out, and head circumference 40.5 cm, 86th percentile
